The Frisco RoughRiders used a five-run fourth inning to erase an early deficit and defeated the Midland RockHounds 6-4 on Tuesday night at Dr Pepper Ballpark. Nomar Mazara hit his ninth home run of the season and Dallas-native Preston Beck hit a go-ahead, two-run double to send Frisco to its third consecutive victory. Hamilton to Rehab with RoughRiders

Texas Rangers outfielder Josh Hamilton is scheduled to begin a rehabilitation assignment with the Frisco RoughRiders on Wednesday, June 24 in the team’s 11:05 a.m. game against the Midland RockHounds. Hamilton was placed on the 15-day disabled list with a strained left hamstring on June 4 (retroactive to June 1). Perez and Harrison set to Rehab with RoughRiders

Pérez is slated to start on Monday, June 22 and Harrison penciled for Wednesday, June 24. The Frisco RoughRiders dropped both games of a double-header to the Corpus Christi Hooks on Thursday at Whataburger Field. The Hooks scored two runs in the second inning of each game to pull away from Frisco, who failed to score a run, and lost their fourth and fifth straight games. Gallo and Lopez Recognized by Texas Rangers

The Texas Rangers announced today the club’s minor league award winners for May. Third baseman Joey Gallo was named Player of the Month, and left-handed pitcher Frank Lopez was named Pitcher of the Month. Both players were named the Texas League Players of the Week for May 18-24. Gallo, 21, batted .313 (30-96) with seven doubles, nine home runs, 27 RBI, 23 walks, and 19 runs over 28 games in May with the Frisco RoughRiders.
